Aid El Adha Launch of Imported Sheep Sales in Multiple Wilayas

The operation for selling imported sheep for Aid El Adha was launched on Sunday in several wilayas across Algeria. More wilayas are expected to begin the operation this week, with all necessary resources mobilized to ensure its smooth execution.
The operation began in Tizi Ouzou with two direct sales points in Tizi Ouzou and Draâ Ben Khedda, with more expected to open soon. In Blida, 26 sales points have been established throughout the wilaya to facilitate access.
Other wilayas, such as Médéa and M’Sila, also started the sales with several authorized points. Boumerdès received a quota of around 25,000 sheep, with sales beginning on Sunday in nine designated spaces.
Other wilayas like Laghouat, Béjaïa, Djelfa, Jijel, Constantine, and Oran have initiated their sales through various points and are expected to continue distributing sheep throughout May, with some preparing for the operation in the coming days.
The operation, in collaboration with Agrolog and local authorities, is based on quotas to meet the needs of each wilaya, ensuring the sales run until May 25, with possible extensions until the end of the month.
