The Neutralization of 35 Terrorists and 227 of their collaborators

In the first half of 2025, Algeria’s National People’s Army carried out significant operations targeting terrorism and organized crime. These efforts led to the neutralization of 35 terrorists and 227 of their collaborators, alongside the recovery of 333 firearms and various quantities of ammunition. The army also acted decisively against drug trafficking networks, arresting 1,186 individuals and seizing over 17 tons of cannabis from the Moroccan border, 663 kilograms of cocaine, and 24 million psychotropic pills.
Beyond counterterrorism and narcotics, the army cracked down on smuggling and illegal migration. More than 7,700 people were arrested in connection with contraband activities, leading to the confiscation of thousands of vehicles, generators, and tools, as well as large quantities of fuel, tobacco, and foodstuffs. Additionally, 12,825 undocumented migrants of various nationalities were detained across the country. These operations reflect the army’s stated commitment to national security and sovereignty.
