Algeria, ICYF boost youth cooperation at Kazan summit

Algeria’s Youth Minister and head of the Higher Youth Council, Mustapha Hidaoui, met in Kazan with Taha Ayhan, president of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), on the sidelines of the 2025 Kazan Global Youth Summit, the ministry said Friday.
The meeting highlighted the importance of joint programs and initiatives to empower young people in Algeria and across the Muslim world, particularly in innovation, entrepreneurship, and capacity-building. Both sides also reaffirmed their shared support for the Palestinian cause.
Hidaoui stressed that this approach reflects President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s vision of youth as a driving force in shaping the future nationally and internationally. Algeria’s participation, he added, underscores its commitment to strengthening youth’s role in tackling global challenges such as sustainable development, climate change, and technological shifts.
