Chaib at LLDC3

Algeria is stepping onto the global stage once again as Mr. Sofiane Chaib, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, represents the nation at the third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) in Awaza, Turkmenistan, from August 5 to 8.

This high-level gathering held once every decade brings together world leaders to tackle the unique economic and infrastructural challenges faced by landlocked nations. Under the theme “Progress Through Partnerships,” the conference is set to usher in the Awaza Programme of Action (2024–2034), a critical blueprint for sustainable development endorsed by the UN General Assembly.

Mr. Chaib’s participation reinforces Algeria’s commitment to multilateralism and inclusive growth but also shows its proactive role in shaping the future of regional cooperation, especially as global dynamics shift toward resilient, interconnected economies.
