Summer time under a beware of lethal food !

Summer is so cool, so fun, and full of outdoor activities vacations, along with gorgeous get together   It has its own special knack . The sun makes everyone seem happier, with many walking around sun-kissed and glowing. Described this way, summer looks like it’s all good  with no risks at all. But the truth is, just like anything else in life, it has both a bright side and a dark side you choose which one you want to lean into.

The colorful season can be harmful too. Heatwaves, dangerous sunburns, or swimming at the wrong moment can lead to serious health issues and, in some cases, even death.

Today’s topic is about food. For sure, summer meals are very different from winter ones. On hot days, we usually go for light, cool dishes. But let’s be real street food and junk food become the rockstars of the season. Most of us rush to grab some cheesy, greasy fast food to make us  happy. Actually, not really it only gives us a quick hit of dopamine, that “feel-good” hormone, but deep down our body feels sorry for us. These meals are poor in vitamins and nutrients but loaded with oil, grease, and chemical sauces.

What’s even worse is that we often don’t know under what conditions that food was cooked, stored, or served and many times, it’s downright unhealthy. This year, more than last year, hospitals have seen a rise in food poisoning cases. The top cause? “I ate something outside.” On social media, videos of inspections in some restaurants shocked people. If everyone saw how their food was handled behind the counter, most would never order again. Of course, not all places are bad, but sadly, the majority are.

That’s why avoiding street food or heavy junk food during scorching days is the smartest move. Instead, you can go for healthier, wallet-friendly options like homemade salads, a fresh bowl of tchaktchouka, or other yummy dishes made by trustworthy hands.
