Tissemsilt launched vaccination campaign for livestock

The Tissemsilt province has initiated a large-scale vaccination campaign for sheep and goats against the Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) disease. This effort is part of the national program for animal disease prevention, according to the veterinary inspection office of the provincial agricultural services directorate.

The campaign, which will last for three months, aims to vaccinate all sheep and goats over four months old. With a total of over 300,000 animals in the province, 34 private veterinarians have been mobilized to carry out the free vaccinations.

This vaccination campaign aims to protect livestock from infectious diseases, prevent their spread, and safeguard the local agricultural economy. It ensures the health of animal herds and contributes to food security.
