Algeria shines with two Medals at African triathlon championships

Algeria kicked off the African Championships in duathlon, triathlon, and aquathlon with a strong showing, snagging two medals on day one in Al Galala, Egypt.

Imane Maldji raced to silver in the Elite women’s triathlon, coming in just behind South Africa’s Shanae Williams, and ahead of another South African for bronze. On the men’s side, Adel Rabir earned a bronze in the U23 triathlon category. With nine athletes fighting hard under coaches Sofiane Benchekor and Ali Largement, Algeria is charging full steam ahead across all events triathlon, duathlon, and aquathlon ready to make a splash through September 27.
