Algeria’s volleyball team returns to the world stage

Algeria’s national volleyball team is in the Philippines, preparing for its first World Championship appearance in 20 years.

Coach Kamel Imloul is focusing on his team’s mental game as they face a tough first round against Italy, Ukraine, and Belgium. To advance, Algeria will need at least two wins, a major challenge given the strong competition. Imloul has kept the team’s core experienced players together, with a long-term goal of preparing them for the 2026 African Championships.
