Algeria on Four wheel drive

The 4th edition of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) 2025 in Algiers has put Algeria’s economic ambitions into high gear. The event showcased a diverse range of opportunities for both Algeria and its African partners. A major highlight was the automobile sector, with international brands displaying their latest car models. This underscores Algeria’s aim to become a key player in car assembly and manufacturing in Africa, offering a win-win situation for all involved.
Driving Toward Opportunity
Given its strategic location and growing industrial capacity, Algeria is an ideal spot for automotive investments. Such a move could supercharge local manufacturing, create jobs, and strengthen trade across the continent. Brands at IATF 2025 were eager to get a piece of the action in this emerging market. The crowd favorite was the Fiat Grande Panda, a highly anticipated rockstar of a car. Other participants included the Chinese brand Chery with its new models perfect for the Algerian market: the stylish Arrizo 6 sedan and the Tiggo 4 Pro and Tiggo 7 Pro SUVs. The Korean brand Hyundai was also in the mix. All these companies are keen to tap into this market, which aligns perfectly with Algeria’s goals for economic integration and industrialization.
Meeting Local Demand
This industrial push could also help solve a big problem for many Algerians: getting a car. By boosting local production, this development can meet the rising domestic demand for vehicles, making them more accessible to the local population.
