2 new awards for soldiers and military personnel

The National People’s Assembly in Algeria has recently approved 2 new military awards that are set to honor the contributions of soldiers and military personnel.
During a public session led by Vice President Mohamed Anwar Bouchouit, along with the Minister of Relations with Parliament, Nejiba Ghellali, and representatives from the Defense Ministry, the decision was announced.
Ghellali described the approval as a historic milestone, emphasizing that these awards recognize the dedication and sacrifices of both military and civilian members of the armed forces, who have written Algeria’s resilient and victorious story with their blood and selflessness.
The new awards include five military medals that will be given to military officers and personnel who demonstrate excellence in various fields such as leadership, fighting terrorism, innovation, scientific achievement, and partnerships with other countries.
The second law plan introduces two civil medals for civilian staff in the military, recognizing those with significant years of service and notable professionalism. Overall, these awards aim to honor and motivate Algeria’s military forces, celebrating their ongoing role in defending the nation’s sovereignty and stability.
