Chlef lauches tree planting campaign

On Friday, Chlef’s Youth and Sports Directorate, in partnership with ABC Bank Algeria, kicked off the first phase of the national tree planting campaign at the Chifa Equestrian Club. This initiative, aimed at planting one million shrubs across the country, celebrates National Tree Day on October 25th.

Over 200 shrubs were planted by a diverse group of participants, including bank staff, youth, volunteers, and Scouts, showcasing a united effort to protect the environment. Nawal Tamazight from ABC Bank highlighted the campaign’s role in supporting environmental responsibility and combating climate change.

The initiative will expand nationwide, with the Chlef Forestry Department providing over 20,000 shrubs for planting across 16 locations. The campaign’s success is a testament to the power of community collaboration in building a greener future.
