Tacherift honors Algeria’s war’s Vets

Minister of Mujahideen and Rights Holders, Abdelmalek Tacherift, received on Monday in Algiers a delegation from the National Association of  Death Row Prisoners, the ministry said in a statement.

The meeting highlighted the association’s vital role in preserving the memory of freedom fighters who endured brutal torture and imprisonment under colonial rule while awaiting unjust death sentences.

Minister Tacherift praised the group as “living martyrs,” honoring their courage and sacrifices as a timeless symbol of Algeria’s struggle for independence.
