Bab el Oued cable cars returns to the sky

The aerial cable car linking Bab El Oued to Z’ghara via Cilas will reopen this Saturday after several months of suspension for a thorough technical inspection, the Algerian Cable Transport Company (ETAC) announced on Thursday.

The service will operate daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., following extensive safety checks and maintenance to ensure maximum reliability. The project also included the renovation of all three stations, giving them a more comfortable and secure environment for passengers.

This reopening, carried out in collaboration with Transtev, Metro d’Alger (EMA), and the Algiers Wilaya, marks an important step toward enhancing urban mobility and improving citizens’ daily commutes.
