Civil protection cooperation reaches new heights

Algeria’s Civil Protection Director General, Colonel Boualem Boughelaf, received General Vladimir Vlček, head of the Czech Rescue and Fire Service, in Algiers on Saturday.

The visit aims to enhance cooperation between the two countries in civil protection and disaster management. The Czech delegation will explore Algeria’s organizational structure, firefighting units, earthquake response teams, and disaster management systems, as well as observe a field exercise in Bouira and visit southern regions to learn about their specific emergency strategies.

Colonel Boughelaf said the partnership will bring mutual benefits, while General Vlček highlighted the value of sharing experiences to strengthen both nations’ emergency response capacities.
