3 rescued on mount babor in Setif

Three people were rescued on Saturday evening, around 10:30 p.m., after becoming stranded on a mountainous slope of Mount Babor in the province of Sétif.

According to the Civil Protection, the victims were suffering from severe exhaustion and were given first aid on site before being safely evacuated. Rescue teams had been alerted earlier in the evening and carried out the operation in difficult terrain with the support of a specialized mountain rescue unit, an ambulance and a rescue truck.

The intervention once again highlights the Civil Protection’s continued commitment to ensuring public safety, even in hard-to-reach areas.
