Algeria’s inflation eases to 1.7% by end-october

Algeria’s annual inflation rate slowed to 1.7% at the end of October 2025, down from 2.2% in September, according to the National Statistics Office (ONS).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 0.8%, mainly driven by higher food prices (+1.6%), particularly fresh agricultural products such as vegetables, fish and eggs. In contrast, prices of manufactured goods and services remained broadly stable.
The ONS said the figures point to a continued easing of inflationary pressures, despite short-term volatility in food prices.
