Shaping the next generation of doctors

Algiers hosted the first national medical student competition, presided over by Youth Minister Mustapha Hidaoui. Organized by the “Inito” club of the University of Health Sciences, the event brought together 90 students from 15 medical faculties across the country from December 20–23.
In his opening speech, Hidaoui highlighted that investing in young minds is the real investment and praised medical students as a cornerstone of Algeria’s future healthcare system. He also saluted university science clubs, calling their work a testament to the innovation, organization, and drive of Algerian youth.
The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to support initiatives that showcase young talent, encourage scientific competition, and foster excellence and leadership, contributing directly to national development and the advancement of Algerian universities.
