Winter holiday kicks off joyfully in Ouled Djellal

The third annual Winter Children’s Performance Days kicked off this Tuesday at the Ouled Djellal open-air theater. Running through Thursday, the festival brings storytelling and live arts to kids from Ouled Djellal, Doucen, and Chaïba.

Coordinated by the Directorate of Culture for the winter school break, the event features the “Ichrak” Dramatic Arts Association. Director Mounir Aïssoug emphasized that the program isn’t just about fun; it also includes youth awareness sessions on the dangers of smoking and drugs. The goal is to provide a “wholesome getaway” where entertainment meets education for the local youth.
