Youth sector goes digital with sovereign cloud agreement

The High Commission for Digitalization and the Ministry of Youth have signed a cooperation agreement to regulate access to and use of the State’s sovereign cloud computing resources at the National Algerian Data Center for Digital Services, the High Commission said in a statement on Monday.
The agreement was signed on Sunday at the Ministry of Youth by the Minister and High Commissioner for Digitalization, Mrs. Meriem Benmouloud, and the Minister of Youth, Mr. Mustapha Hidaoui, in line with the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune aimed at accelerating digital transformation and modernizing public services.
The partnership seeks to organize the use of sovereign cloud resources, unify the State’s digital infrastructure and strengthen the security of sovereign data by providing a secure and reliable digital environment for hosting sectoral platforms.
Mrs. Benmouloud said the initiative reflects the State’s commitment to an integrated and sustainable digital transition that improves public performance and service quality, particularly for young people. Mr. Hidaoui described it as a key step in modernizing and digitizing the youth sector and strengthening digital governance.
The signing ceremony also featured a technical presentation on cloud solutions available to the youth sector.
