Algerian Army Chief visits Qatar

General Saïd Chanegriha, Algeria’s Deputy Minister of National Defense and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), begins an official visit to Qatar this Sunday.

The trip follows an invitation from General Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai, Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, on the occasion of the 9th Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2026).

During the visit, General Chanegriha will meet with senior Qatari officials to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral military cooperation between Algeria and Qatar.
