LPA homes in Boumerdès stalled after 10 years

In Boumerdès, subscribers to the 50-unit LPA housing project in El Marmala are denouncing unexplained delays, even though the works are more than 95% complete.
Launched in 2012, the project is considered one of the longest-delayed housing schemes in the province. Beneficiaries say the developer had promised to hand over the keys by November 1, 2025, but the commitment was not honored, for reasons that remain unclear, amid what they describe as a lack of action from local authorities.
Despite helping with utility connections, future owners say they are still waiting after more than 10 years, while newer housing projects have been completed and delivered much faster. Disappointed and exhausted, they are now appealing directly to the Minister of Housing to intervene and put an end to what they call endless promises and unacceptable delays.
