PM Ghrieb chairs a gov meeting

Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb chaired a government meeting this week, during which ministers began reviewing key initiatives aimed at modernizing Algeria’s agricultural cooperatives and boosting the industrial sector.

The proposed executive decree will update the legal and organizational framework for farming cooperatives, aiming to strengthen their role in rural development, food security, and investment.

In parallel, the government examined sectoral roadmaps for 2026–2028, including plans to diversify national industry, increase its contribution to GDP, and reinforce the industrial ecosystem.

These moves come as part of the government’s broader push to align with presidential directives and accelerate strategic reforms across multiple sectors.
