Protect your home from carbon monoxide

The Ministry of Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport has issued safety guidance to prevent accidents caused by carbon monoxide leaks.

Citizens are urged to:

-Install carbon monoxide detectors near heaters, water heaters, and gas stoves.

-Ensure proper ventilation in bathrooms, kitchens, and living spaces.

-Perform regular maintenance on gas appliances.

-Turn off heaters and stoves immediately after use.

-Avoid using gas appliances in enclosed spaces.

The ministry also warned that sudden headaches, dizziness, nausea, or breathing difficulties may signal carbon monoxide exposure. In such cases, move outdoors immediately and contact the civil protection services. Following these steps can significantly reduce the risk of accidents and keep your home safe.
