Taxis back , Transportation moves forward

The National Taxi Operators Union announced today, Thursday, January 8, 2026, that transportation services across Algeria have gradually resumed, covering all regions of the country.
The union reassured citizens especially travelers that services are returning to normal, ensuring the continuity of public transport with responsibility and commitment.
Expressing pride, the union praised taxi drivers and goods transporters for responding wisely to the union’s calls, prioritizing the nation and the public above all else. This high level of awareness among transport professionals reflects Algeria’s steadfast commitment to security and stability.
The union also welcomed the call from the President of the Council of the Nation, highlighting Algeria’s institutional awareness and dedication to fostering dialogue and cooperation.
