President Tebboune appeals to Algerians abroad

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune called on Algerian youth living abroad in fragile or illegal situations, saying many were misled and committed only minor offenses. He warned that some were exploited to harm Algeria’s image and are now exposed to humiliation, criminal networks, and defamation far from their homeland.

The Council of Ministers, under the President’s leadership and in full institutional coordination, decided to settle the situation of concerned Algerians, provided they commit to respecting the law. The measures will be implemented through Algerian consulates abroad until their return home.

The decision excludes individuals involved in serious crimes, including terrorism, drug trafficking, arms trade, blood crimes, or cooperation with foreign security agencies against Algeria.
