African leaders focus on water today at the AU summit

On Saturday, representing President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb took part in the 39th Summit of the African Union in Addis Ababa, focused on sustainable water access and sanitation under Agenda 2063.
The Prime Minister is also attending the Committee of Ten (C-10) meeting on reforming the UN Security Council, where Algeria will reaffirm its longstanding call for comprehensive reform to ensure fair African representation.
Algeria reaffirmed its commitment to African unity, sustainable development, and peace. Leaders addressed water security, socio-economic challenges, and key peace and security issues, while Algeria renewed its call for fair African representation in UN Security Council reform.
