Air Algérie eyes 10 Million passengers in 2026

Air Algérie is setting its sights high for 2026, aiming to carry nearly 10 million passengers by expanding its route network, particularly toward high-potential international markets.
At its 2026 Annual Summit held at its “Saïd Aït Messaoudene” headquarters, the airline announced its goal of exceeding 9.8 million passengers one million more than in 2025. The expansion plan will go hand in hand with a broad overhaul of customer service under the theme “Let’s Reinvent Customer Experience.”
The company closed 2025 on a strong note, transporting 8.8 million passengers an 11% increase compared to 2024. Described as a turning point, the year was marked by faster modernization, including the launch of a domestic subsidiary and the arrival of new aircraft to strengthen the fleet.
As part of its shift toward a holding structure, Air Algérie also introduced a new ground-handling subsidiary, “GO Ground Operations.” During the summit, attended by CEO Hamza Benhamouda and civil aviation officials, executives reviewed performance, addressed challenges, and outlined steps to boost efficiency, profitability, and service quality.
New IT systems, a revamped loyalty program, cost optimization measures, and stronger financial monitoring are all part of the airline’s roadmap as it works to position itself for a new phase of growth.
