Algeria pushes for spatial position

Algeria has reached another milestone in its space program with the successful launch of Alsat-3B, the second satellite placed into orbit in less than a month. The launch, followed by General of the Army Saïd Chanegriha, signals that the country is gaining ground in mastering space and Earth-observation technologies.

According to the Ministry of National Defence, this success completes the high-resolution Alsat-3 surveillance system, building on the launch of Alsat-3A earlier this month from China. Officials described the operation as a job well done and a moment of national pride.

General Chanegriha conveyed President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s congratulations to all those involved, praising their expertise and urging them to build on this momentum. He stressed that these achievements place Algeria on the map as an emerging nation determined to safeguard its sovereignty and make its own strategic choices, while also highlighting the strong ties and fruitful cooperation with China.
