HBC El Biar signs rising goalkeeper to secure the future

Determined to stay on top of Algerian handball for years to come, HBC El Biar has moved swiftly to strengthen a key position: goalkeeper.

The club has secured the services of Bouziane Mohamed Merouane, a promising young shot-stopper from CRB Mila. A standout performer at the recent African Championship in Rwanda, the Arbaa native now embarks on a new chapter with the El Biar side.

At his new club, he will line up alongside veteran goalkeeper Benmenni Abdellah, who is nearing the end of his career. The experienced keeper, also a member of the national commission for goalkeeper detection and development, is expected to mentor his potential successor.

With this strategic signing, HBC El Biar is clearly aiming high this season. The club has set its sights on a domestic league and cup double and hopes to return to international competition next year.
