ONAB’s 330 DA Chicken is here

Throughout the month of Ramadan Algeria’s National Office for Animal Feed and Poultry Farming (ONAB) has begun the gradual release of frozen chicken onto the market at a fixed price of 330 DA per kilogram, aiming to ease pressure on household budgets during the holy month.

According to the office, the measure seeks to ensure availability and help stabilize prices in support of citizens’ purchasing power. In line with directives from Groupe Agro-Logistique (AGROLOG), an initial 2,000 tonnes have been injected into the market through approved distribution channels, while fresh chicken continues to be sold daily at ONAB’s retail points.

The products are available across several areas in Algiers and through Ramadan tents organized by Office National Interprofessionnel des Légumes et des Viandes (ONILEV), reaffirming ONAB’s commitment to stable supply, fair prices and quality products for Algerian families.
