PM Launches national quality and accreditation initiative

Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb on Tuesday installed a national working group tasked with setting up Algeria’s future accreditation, conformity and certification network, according to a statement from his office.
The initiative brings together highly qualified national experts and forms part of a broader strategy aimed at modernizing the country’s quality control system for goods and services. The move is designed to strengthen technical sovereignty, support local production and subcontracting, and better protect both the national economy and consumers.
The government said the step follows a nationwide assessment of existing technical and laboratory capacities across key economic sectors and research centers, laying the groundwork for a coordinated national network to boost competitiveness and ensure higher standards of quality and compliance.
