Police dismantle drug network in Sidi Bel Abbès

Algeria’s Direction Générale de la Sûreté Nationale announced the arrest of a five-member criminal network in Sidi Bel Abbès and the seizure of more than 43 kilograms of processed cannabis reportedly coming from Morocco.
The operation, carried out earlier this week, also led to the recovery of two vehicles used in the trafficking activity. Officers seized around 162 million centimes believed to be proceeds from the illegal trade.
Authorities said the operation is part of ongoing efforts to combat organized crime and drug trafficking across the country.
