“Ramadan at the Palace” opens its doors in Algiers

As Ramadan approaches, the Palais of Expositions in Algiers is once again buzzing with life. The sixth edition of the commercial fair “Ramadan at the Palace” opened Thursday at the Safex complex in Pins Maritimes, setting the stage for a lively marketplace that will run through March 14.
Organized by Algeria Exhibitions, a subsidiary of Safex, the event transforms the Casbah pavilion into a one-stop shop for families preparing for the holy month. From fresh fruits and vegetables to meats, pantry staples, household goods, clothing, appliances and traditional handicrafts, the fair brings together a wide range of products all under one roof and at accessible prices.
More than just a shopping event, “Ramadan at the Palace” aims to give a boost to local producers and artisans, strengthen direct ties between sellers and consumers, and inject fresh momentum into commercial activity during one of the busiest times of the year. Adding to the festive spirit, cultural and family-friendly activities are also on the program, making it a space where commerce and community go hand in hand.
