The President revamps public transit with 10,000 new buses

In a major move to modernize the nation’s infrastructure, Algeria has officially launched a large-scale project to renew its national transport fleet.

Under the direct initiative of the President and with close supervision from the Ministry of National Defense, the country is set to import a total of 10,000 new buses to upgrade travel conditions for citizens. The Military Industry Directorate has already begun receiving the first installment at the Port of Algiers, consisting of an initial shipment of 335 buses. These vehicles, which represent a mix of various models and capacities, are being sourced through strategic partnerships with manufacturers in China and Germany.

This massive investment highlights a significant commitment to improving public mobility and ensuring a more reliable, comfortable transport network across the country.
