Adil Aouchiche chooses the Greens

Franco-Algerian midfielder Adil Aouchiche, currently at Schalke 04, has officially opted to represent Algeria, driven by his roots and identity rather than any specific tournament.

The 23-year-old has long dreamed of joining the national team and sees his commitment as long-term: “Wearing the Algerian jersey is about a sustainable project, not just a few matches,” he said.

Aouchiche began the process to obtain his Algerian passport last September, emphasizing that his choice is for a lasting role with the Verts, not just a temporary stint.
