ANIRA fines Echorouk TV over excess advertising

ANIRA has imposed a financial penalty on Echorouk TV for exceeding the legally allowed airtime for television advertising.
In a statement released Friday, the regulator said several TV channels had previously received a 72-hour warning to comply with rules governing advertising slots. While most broadcasters adjusted their programming and respected the limits, Echorouk TV continued to exceed the authorised duration for commercials.
As a result, the authority decided to impose a fine and warned the channel that repeated violations could lead to the partial or full suspension of the programmes concerned.
