Eid Shoppers covered: traders fully on duty

Traders and economic operators in the seven eastern wilayas under the Batna Regional Directorate of Trade fully followed the duty schedule on the third day of Eid, the regional director, Sid Ali Merdas, announced on Sunday.

All those involved from Batna, Biskra, Tebessa, Constantine, Khenchela, Ouled Djellal, and Oum El Bouaghi ensured essential goods and popular consumer products were available to citizens.

Inspectors carried out field visits to check compliance, confirming a high level of responsibility and discipline among traders.

To guarantee the availability of basic goods and services, the directorate mobilized 6,223 traders and operators, including 768 bakeries, 3,750 general food and fruit shops, 20 dairies, pharmacies, fuel stations, and 335 inspectors. Many other traders also opened their shops voluntarily, even if they were not on the official duty list.
