Government reviews sector roadmaps for 2026–2028

The Government on Wednesday examined draft roadmaps for several key sectors during a meeting chaired in Algiers by Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office.
The agenda focused on trade, major structural projects and sectoral roadmaps for the 2026–2028 period.
At the start of the session, the Government reviewed a draft law amending and supplementing Law No. 04-08 of August 14, 2004, which sets out the conditions for conducting commercial activities.
In line with the directives of the President of the Republic on the preparation of sectoral roadmaps for 2026–2028, ministers also studied draft plans covering the sectors of Moudjahidine and rights holders, Energy and Renewable Energy, Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Religious Affairs and Wakfs, as well as the Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises.
According to the statement, these roadmaps are based on objective assessments and practical tools, and are aligned with available human and financial resources. They aim to structure national development, diversify the economy, increase gross domestic product and boost local production.
Finally, as part of the follow-up on major structural projects, the Government reviewed progress reports on several ongoing projects in the Agriculture, Energy and Water Resources sectors.
