Institutions celebrate Algerian women’s achievements

Public institutions across Algeria marked International Women’s Day by paying tribute to the role of Algerian women in different sectors of society.

Officials highlighted the commitment and competence of women who continue to contribute to the country’s development. Among them, Brahim Boughali praised the historic and ongoing role of Algerian women in building the nation, while ministers such as Nassima Arhab and Amel Abdellatif commended the dedication of women working in their respective sectors.

In the legal field, Leila Aslaoui underlined the growing presence of women in state institutions and their contribution to shaping the country’s future.

Celebrations were also held across the country through cultural events, exhibitions and ceremonies honouring working and retired women for their achievements and their role in society.
