Iran rejects any war pressure

In remarks to Agence France-Presse, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister stated that any ceasefire must be part of a comprehensive formula aimed at ending the war entirely and ensuring lasting stability in the region. He stressed that Iran seeks clear guarantees that it will not be subjected to another war in the future.

The official also dismissed reports claiming that mines had been planted in the Strait of Hormuz, noting that Tehran has allowed vessels from several countries to pass through the strategic waterway and has cooperated with states that requested safe transit for their ships. However, he warned that vessels belonging to countries involved in what Iran describes as the “aggression” should not expect to cross the strait freely.

He further declared that Iran has moved beyond the stage where its survival is threatened, rejecting assumptions in United States and Israel that the Iranian system would collapse within 48 hours, insisting that such expectations have proven unfounded.
