Kaylia Nemour snatches the Gold

Olympic champion Kaylia Nemour struck gold for Algeria today in Baku, clinching the uneven bars title at the second leg of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup.

With a stellar score of 15.233 (difficulty 7.0, execution 8.233), she dominated the final, hot on the heels of topping balance beam quals yesterday at 14.833 and she’s eyeing a second gold there tomorrow.

This triumph builds on her silver from the Cottbus opener last February, as young Luna Hammas, 19, from France’s Héyr club, gains vital experience alongside her. The series rolls on to Antalya, Cairo, Osijek, and Doha (14-18 April), pitting Nemour against top stars like Rhys McClenaghan and Eleftherios Petronias
