Meningitis warning signs you shouldn’t ignore

In short, meningitis is the inflammation (swelling) of the protective membranes (meninges) surrounding the brain and spinal cord. It is a serious, often life-threatening condition caused by infections (viruses, bacteria, or fungi) that requires rapid medical attention. Among its symptoms, we can count :
1-Intense headaches (cephalalgia), often accompanied by sensitivity to light (photophobia) or sound (phonophobia), making it difficult to focus or rest.
2-Nausea or vomiting, which can add to overall discomfort and weakness.
3-Stiffness in the neck: the back of the neck becomes painful and rigid, especially when trying to move.
4- A gray or mottled skin tone, which can indicate poor circulation or stress on the body.
5- Significant muscle aches and body pains, sometimes making simple movements difficult.
6- Extreme fatigue, leaving the person feeling drained even after rest.
7- Serious but sometimes unpredictable neurological symptoms: drowsiness, confusion, or more profound disturbances of consciousness; signs of localized nervous system problems such as eye muscle paralysis; or even seizures.
