Russian naval ships make Four-Day stop at Algiers Port

A group of vessels from the Russian Northern Fleet docked on Wednesday at the Port of Algiers for a four-day stop as part of military cooperation between Algeria and Russia, according to a statement from the Algerian Ministry of National Defence.
The flotilla includes the anti-submarine ship Severomorsk and the oil tanker Kama.
During the visit, the mission commander and accompanying delegation paid a courtesy visit to the head of the Central Naval Front at the naval base in Algiers, located within the First Military Region. Talks focused on ways to further strengthen cooperation between the Algerian and Russian navies.
The stopover will also feature a programme of exchanges between officers from both navies aimed at sharing maritime expertise, alongside cultural activities organised for the Russian crew.
