Sheep arrive slowly but surely for Eid-Al Adha

From the government’s priorities this year, making sheep affordable for citizens tops the list. Unlike last year, when shipments arrived at the eleventh hour making it tricky for many Algerians to get their share this year, authorities are staying one step ahead.

Under the president’s instructions, the export process began earlier than ever. Algeria is once again working with Romania and Spain, and this year, Brazil and Uruguay join the list of suppliers. The operation is moving at a breakneck pace, running from next week until May 20 the final deadline to gather the full quota.

Rest assured, every detail has been thought of down to the last straw. A large team of veterinarians is on hand to perform a second health check on each sheep, following the inspection already conducted in the countries of origin. Transportation has been meticulously planned, with carefully selected food and water to ensure the animals arrive in top condition.

In a modern twist, a digital platform has been launched to track every step of the importation process, leaving no room for error. This year, things are running smoother than ever, with shipments making their way to Algeria swiftly while ensuring the sheep’s well-being.

As for pricing and distribution, everything is being organized to guarantee budget-friendly prices for citizens, so everyone can celebrate Eid without breaking the bank.
