Tebboune chairs high security council meeting


President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Tuesday chaired a meeting of the Haut Conseil de Sécurité (HCS), according to a statement from the Presidency of the Republic.
The meeting was held under the president’s capacity as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense, the statement said, without providing further details on the agenda.
The High Security Council, a key advisory body, convenes to assess major national security issues and review developments that may impact the country’s stability.
