Air Algérie Expands Africa, Europe & Asia routes in 2026 Push

Air Algérie is set to launch new international routes in 2026, targeting five African cities alongside Warsaw and Shanghai, as part of a broader fleet renewal strategy.
CEO Hamza Benhamouda confirmed that a new link between Algiers and Libreville is expected by mid-June, with additional routes planned to Luanda, Maputo, Accra and Lagos.
The airline also plans to boost its long-haul network with a Shanghai route in winter 2026 and a new European الخدمة to Warsaw, pending delivery of new aircraft.
Meanwhile, Algiers International Airport is undergoing expansion and digital upgrades, aiming to exceed 11 million passengers in 2026. Smart check-in systems, biometric procedures, and improved passenger facilities are set to roll out this summer, reinforcing the airport’s ambition to become a regional hub.
