Algiers bolsters urban transport with 102 modern buses

In a strategic move to modernise urban mobility, the Algiers Urban and Suburban Transport Enterprise (ETUSA) has officially integrated 102 new buses into its fleet, marking a significant phase of a 320-unit delivery from the Rouiba-based Automotive Industry Development Enterprise.

Operating under the Directorate of Military Industries, this initiative directly fulfills the directives of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to renew the national transport park with 10,000 new vehicles, ensuring a higher standard of service for the Algerian people. This latest batch comprising 32 high-capacity vehicles for 100 passengers and 70 buses with 37 seats was delivered this Wednesday under the supervision of the Ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities, and Transport to provide modern, comfortable, and safe transit options.

As the ministry continues to roll out these new units across various Wilayas, this expansion highlights Algeria’s commitment to bridging the gap between national industrial growth and the daily welfare of its citizens, reinforcing the capital’s position as a developing Mediterranean hub where accessible public service remains a top priority.
