Algiers Police smash national car theft network

Algiers security forces have successfully dismantled a sophisticated criminal network specialized in vehicle theft that operated across the entire country. The operation, led by the Dar El Beïda judicial police, resulted in the arrest of seven suspects, including one woman.

The crackdown followed a wave of citizen complaints and was fueled by high-tech surveillance and forensic tracking. Investigators didn’t just catch the culprits; they also recovered two stolen cars, various dismantled vehicle parts, counterfeit master keys, and a significant stash of cash.

By cutting off this nationwide ring, Algiers police have dealt a major blow to organized auto crime, with all suspects now facing prosecution for their roles in the syndicate.
