Book Your Sheep in One Click via Adahi.dz

Yesterday evening, citizens witnessed the official launch of the Adahi.dz online sheep-buying platform, a digital leap forward driven by the Ministry of Agriculture. Many are calling this initiative a considerable breakthrough, as it offers customers the possibility to book their “Eid sheep” with a single click from the comfort of their own sofa.
As the President of the Republic stated during a Council of Ministers meeting on March 8th, Algeria is for the second year in a row importing a significant number of sheep from abroad, principally from Spain and Romania. This strategy ensures the sacred practice of aid remains within reach for the community. Prices have been carefully studied to guarantee affordability, with rates set between 48,000 DA and 50,000 DA.
The platform has proven to be highly effective, with no bugs reported so far. It is a genuine game-changer for the average citizen a far cry from last year’s less practical and organized physical markets. In the world of digital livestock, it seems the government is determined to ensure that for the old ways, it is truly “easy come, easy go.”

The first shipment arrived on March 26th at the Port of Algiers from Spain, consisting of 12,350 heads. Similar operations are currently undergoing across several Algerian ports, including Bejaia, Skikda, and Oran. The health and welfare of these lambs are being monitored around the clock by dedicated veterinarians ensuring a smooth process.
The arrival of these ewes is expected to conclude by May 20, 2026. Brick by brick, the state is building a more resilient supply chain. This initiative is being widely praised as the “golden chance” to stabilize market prices nationwide.
