Getex sets sights on global textile deals

Getex is stepping up efforts to partner with international clothing and footwear brands, aiming to boost local production and expand its presence abroad, CEO Toufik Berkani said.
The group has already launched talks with foreign operators to secure contract manufacturing deals that meet global standards, a move designed to integrate Algerian factories into international supply chains and strengthen exports, particularly across African markets.
Alongside these partnerships, Getex plans to modernize its production tools, revive idle units, and invest in new projects, including a polyester fiber plant and specialized textile lines. The group is also preparing to open seven new factories, creating over 1,000 jobs.
With solid growth in recent years, Getex is betting on a mix of industrial partnerships, modernization, and export expansion to reinforce the position of Algerian-made products on the regional and global stage.
